Students may not apply directly to a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION when they apply for admission to the University.
After first year, students may apply for admission upon completion of first-year requirements with no failures.
5.0 first-year courses:
Students must have an average of at least 73% on, and no grade less than 60% in, the following
3.0 principal courses:

1.0 course: 0.5 from Mathematics 1225A/B or Calculus 1000A/B, AND 0.5 from Mathematics 1229A/B, Calculus 1301A/B, Calculus 1501A/B, or Mathematics 1600A/B.

0.5 course: Computer Science 1032A/B (required for the Diploma in Accounting), or one other half-course in Computer Science numbered 1020-1099.
1.0 course: designated essay course numbered 1000-1999E or F/G.
0.5 course: numbered 1000-1999.
After second year, students applying for a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION must have:
a) achieved an average of at least 73% on the last 5.0 courses;
b) achieved an average of at least 73% on the 3.0 principal courses required for the module;
c) achieved a cumulative modular average of 70%;
d) obtained a minimum grade of 60% in each course required for the module;
e) obtained a passing grade in each elective course;
f) a minimum cumulative average of 65%.
11.0 senior courses:
1.0 course normally taken in second year: Business Administration 2257.
1.0 course normally taken in second year: Economics 2220A/B, Economics 2260A/B.
1.0 course normally taken in second year: Economics 2222A/B, Economics 2223A/B.
0.5 course from: MOS 2181A/B.
2.0 courses normally taken in third year: MOS 3310A/B, MOS 3316A/B, MOS 3320A/B, MOS 3370A/B.
1.5 courses normally taken in fourth year: MOS 3330A/B, MOS 4410A/B and MOS 4471A/B or MOS 4488A/B.
2.0 courses from: Economics 3340F/G, Economics 3352A/B, Economics 3370A/B, Geography 3422A/B, MOS 2275A/B, MOS 2276A/B, MOS 3325A/B, MOS 3360A/B, MOS 3361A/B, MOS 3362A/B, MOS 4465A/B, MOS 4466A/B (Note that MOS 3360A/B and/or MOS 3361A/B are prerequisites for MOS 4465A/B).
1.0 course from: Actuarial Science 2053, Economics 2221A/B, Economics 2261A/B, Economics 3328A/B, Economics 3329A/B, Economics 3340F/G, Economics 3352A/B, Economics 3357A/B, Economics 3370A/B.

To remain in a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION, students must have:
a) maintained a minimum modular average of 70%;
b) obtained a minimum grade of 60% in each course required for the module;
c) obtained a passing grade in each elective course;
d) a minimum cumulative average of 65%.
Students who fail to meet these progression requirements may be eligible to apply to a BMOS Specialization or to another program.
To graduate with a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION degree, students must have achieved a minimum cumulative modular average of 70% with a minimum mark of 60% in each course, obtained a passing grade in each elective course, and maintained a minimum cumulative average of 65% on the 20.0 courses counted towards a BMOS HONORS SPECIALIZATION degree. Students with advanced standing must have achieved an overall average of 65% on courses completed at this University.
All students require 2.0 designated essay courses (E, F or G; at least 1.0 of which must be a senior course numbered 2000-4999) and 1.0 course from each of the Categories A, B and C.
